Event Design for Leaders in Innovation
Ann Romney and the Honourable Mitt Romney joined scientists, researchers, and community members at Western University’s Robarts Research Institute for Leaders in Innovation, an event celebrating research excellence in multiple sclerosis. Diagnosed with MS, Ann Romney has become a dedicated advocate for those affected by the disease.

Challenge
Create event visuals that resonated with both the scientific community and the general public. The design needed to reflect the year’s scientific theme while aligning with the brand guidelines of Robarts Research Institute, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, and Western University.
Solution
A high-resolution scan of a sponge became the foundation for the event imagery, creating an organic, web-like visual connection to multiple sclerosis. Paired with a vibrant gradient and clean typography, the final design suite felt scientific, accessible, and cohesive across posters, invitations, programs, and event materials.
